Galaxy Fantasy Impromptu No. 5: Beautiful Andromeda's Miracle

A tune that Ginga Seijuurou intended to play for Tsukino Usagi on his flute, having declared her to be his Andromeda. He never got to perform it, however, as he was stopped by an incensed Ginga Natsumi. (047)

Garnet Orb

The talisman owned by Sailor Pluto. Unlike the other two, it was not sealed inside a Pure Heart Crystal, but was actually a component of Sailor Pluto's Garnet Rod. Sailor Pluto used the garnet Orb to separate Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune's talismans from their Pure Heart Crystal, allowing them to re-absorb the crystals and keep the talismans. Along with its counterparts, the Deep Aqua Mirror and the Space Sword, the orb triggered the formation of the Holy Grail. (111) Amongst the Garnet Orb's powers was the ability to psychically link a group of people. Meioh Setsuna used this power to show Tsukino Usagi, Mizuno Ami, Kino Makoto and Aino Minako the visions of the Silence experienced by Hino Rei. (119) On another occasion, it instinctively protected Setsuna from the power of a Tellun. (121)

Garnet Rod

A large staff carried by Sailor Pluto. The Garnet Rod's intended primary function was to act as a key to the Space-Time Door. It could also be used as a weapon, however. (082) The large, detachable section at the top of the rod, the Garnet Orb, was one of the three talismans. (111)

Garoben

(Emori Hiroko)

GarobenCalling herself the “Youma of knowledge,” Garoben was a Youma belonging to Jadeite who disguised herself as a human in order to run the Crystal Seminar, a cram school that stole the energy of its students. When Sailor Moon arrived to challenge her, Garoben reverted to her Youma state. In this form, Garoben possessed telekinetic powers and was able to reshape her arm into the form of a large axe. She confused her by asking her physics questions and firing razor-sharp test papers at her. She also tried to kill Mizuno Ami, not realising she was about to awaken as Sailor Mercury. Sailor Moon and Sailor Mercury then co-operated to kill the Youma. (008)

(120) Tsukino Usagi's interest in this field was momentarily provoked after she found a book on the subject, Future Considerations of Genetic Engineering, in Chiba Mamoru's apartment. She asked Mizuno Ami to tutor her in the subject, but Ami correctly anticipated that Usagi's interest in the field was only fleeting. (093)

Genkirin

A pharmaceutical product to relieve tiredness produced by Kekkou Medicines. Shiratori Mikan appeared on posters advertising the product, which claimed it was “Mikan's recommendation for anyone tired.” The posters became sought-after items for Mikan's fans, and Umino Gurio acquired some over the Internet. (007)

George

(Okiayu Ryoutarou)

Germatoid

(Kamiya Akira)

GermatoidA Daimon originating from the Tau Nebula, who crossed over to Earth via Professor Tomoe Souichi's recently created environment for genetic manipulations. His arrival triggered an explosion that killed Tomoe Hotaru and injured her father. Germatoid offered to bring her back to life if the professor agreed to his terms, and when he agreed, the entity took over the professor's body, completely overriding his personality. Meanwhile, Mistress 9 crossed over as well, inhabiting Hotaru's body but remaining mostly dormant.

Germatoid's true form was that of a towering, one-eyed creature, resembling in parts a plant, an insect and a dinosaur. He rarely used this form, however, preferring to remain within the professor's body. During his time masquerading as Tomoe, Germatoid established the Death Busters, manufactured more Daimons and supervised attempts to find the Holy Grail and collect Pure Heart Crystals. When Mistress 9 awoke, she ordered Germatoid to fight Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune, who had managed to penetrate the Omega Zone. In the catacombs beneath Mugen Academy, Germatoid abandoned Tomoe's body and took on his true form. Sailor Uranus attacked the Daimon with World Shaking, and he exploded. The scattered parts of the Daimon then migrated to a collection of puppet bodies resembling wetsuits. Geramtoid's avatars attacked the two Sailor Senshi, eventually managing to restrain them. However, Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune heard the voice of Sailor Pluto, instructing them to use their talismans. The Space Sword and Deep Aqua Mirror then appeared, breaking the puppets' hold on them. Sailor Neptune used her mirror to scan the puppet bodies, eventually revealing the body holding Germatoid's essence. Sailor Uranus attacked the body with the Space Sword, embedding the weapon in Germatoid's eye. The body expelled Germatoid's Daimon Egg, and the fake bodies collapsed. (124)

For more information on Germatoid's activities with the Death Busters, see the article on Professor Tomoe Souichi.

Sailor Moon and Kino Makoto engaged the Youma in a fierce battle, during which Makoto discovered that she was Sailor Jupiter. Sailor Moon then obtained the Moon Stick from Luna, with which she was able to purify the beast using Moon Healing Escalation. Gesen then reverted to his human form. (025)

She successfully raided a bus carrying students of Kari Kindergarten, and returned to the Makaiju with a large amount of energy. Following this she was sent to attack a busload of children from Shiba Park Kindergarten, but the Sailor Team had anticipated her move, and both Tsukino Usagi and Aino Minako were on board the bus when she attacked.

While Gigaros drained the driver's energy, Usagi and Minako transformed. Sailor Venus managed to temporarily floor the Cardian with Crescent Beam, but subsequent attacks failed to have the same effect, and Gigaros appeared to have the upper hand. The Cardian was attacked suddenly by the Moonlight Knight, who urged Sailor Venus to have faith in her abilities. Sailor Venus developed a new attack, Crescent Beam Shower, which was enough to immobilise the Cardian. Sailor Moon was then able to kill Gigaros with Moon Princess Halation. (052)

Ginga Natsumi

(Touma Yumi)

Ginga NatsumiThe human identity assumed by An after arriving on Earth. Her partner Ail posed as her brother, Ginga Seijuurou, a fact that annoyed her no end, as it gave him license to flirt with other women. Natsumi attended Juuban Municipal Junior High School and was placed in Sakurada Haruna's homeroom class. She claimed to have recently returned from a long stay abroad. (047)

Natsumi quickly declared an interest in Chiba Mamoru, and flirted with him constantly, much to his embarrassment and consternation. As a result of this, Tsukino Usagi soon became her rival. (049) This rivalry grew after Natsumi cheated to get the lead role in Snow White and the Six Dwarves, specifically in order to kiss Mamoru, who was playing the prince. (056)

Natsumi was notably absent from school after An became concerned that the Makaiju was dying. Kino Makoto and her friends worked out her true identity after Usagi brought back a piece of the Makaiju from her apartment. (058)

Ginga Seijuurou

Ginga SeijuurouAil's human alter ego, adopted when he arrived on Earth on the Makaiju. His partner An adopted the role of his sister, Ginga Natsumi. Seijuurou attended Juuban Municipal Junior High School in the ninth grade, and became an instant hit with the ladies. Umino Gurio was highly suspicious of him, but this hostility died down after it became clear that Seijuurou was interested in Tsukino Usagi and not Osaka Naru. Seijuurou's fascination with Usagi surprised everyone, not least Usagi herself. (047) A few weeks after meeting her, he declared his love to Usagi, and although she was momentarily captured by his charm, she had since regained her memory of Chiba Mamoru, and thus did her best to resist his advances. (049)

According to his academic records, Seijuurou was a bright, quiet student, who was strongest at the sciences, and weakest in the liberal arts. (055)

When Sailor Mercury entered the cram school, Giwaku tried and failed to defeat her with her clones. The Droid changed tactics, and used her powers to convince Sailor Mercury that the rest of the Sailor Team had turned against her. Sailor Moon also confronted her, and she tried to use the same power against her, but it failed: Sailor Moon declared proudly that she was already used to being insulted and criticised. Giwaku then sent her clones after Sailor Moon, but was stalled by Tuxedo Kamen.

She turned back to Sailor Mercury, intensifying her mental attack, but Sailor Mercury refused to be taken in by the deception, turning against the Droid with Shine Aqua Illusion. In its dormant form, it resembled an Earth plant, but was able to move around by means of six insect-like legs. It could change its size when it was threatened or needed to feed, revealing a humanoid upper body. Its arms could transform into vine-like extensions, which were used for holding multiple victims and draining their energy. The energy was stored in a giant flower on the creature's back. The unconscious victims could then be controlled by means of a network of vines across their bodies. The Sailor Team were attacked by these zombie-like victims, which led to them discovering the Glycina. After the plant's minions were neutralised with ofuda, the Glycina attacked directly, proving to be strong and incredibly agile. She managed to catch Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Venus in her energy-sapping vines, before Sailor Moon severed the vines with Moon Tiara Action. The monster was forced back with Sailor Mars' Burning Mandala, at which point Sailor Mercury froze her with Shine Aqua Illusion. The immobilised creature was then destroyed by Sailor Moon and her Moon Princess Halation attack. (SMR)

Haruka explained that she was allowing Minako a handicap, then she began, overtaking her with ease, and eventually managing to lap her. Although Minako was shocked at her crushing defeat, Haruka assured her that she had driven well. (092)

Elza Gray previously attended the same junior high school as Kaioh Michiru, who she befriended. Around this time, she competed in a race against Tenoh Haruka, who beat her: the only person in her competitive career to do so. At Michiru's request, Elza later introduced Haruka to her, an act which eventually led to a partnership and romantic relationship between the two girls.

Elza eventually moved on to Shirakaba High School, where she continued her athletic career. She met Tsukino Usagi and her friends when they were looking at the school, and ingratiated herself with the girls, despite a method for checking muscle tone that bordered on sexual harassment. Just as the girls were leaving, however, she was attacked by Eudial, who was intent on extracting her Pure Heart Crystal. Eudial fired her Capture Gun at Elza, missing on her first attempt but hitting on her second try, removing Elza's Pure Heart Crystal.

While the Sailor Team confronted Eudial, Haruka observed the proceedings and contacted Michiru, informing her of the situation. Michiru joined her, and the pair transformed into Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune. While Sailor Neptune assisted the Sailor Team, Sailor Uranus grabbed Elza's Pure Heart Crystal from Eudial. Once Eudial's Daimon was destroyed, Haruka noted that the crystal was not a talisman, and returned it to Elza. (106)

Great Animal Kingdom

An animal sanctuary and petting zoo which was home to a large number of rescued animals. It was also the location of a Negative Point, discovered by Esmeraude. Artemis investigated the area, initially suspecting that the animals taken there had been kidnapped, but was soon satisfied that they were safe. However, Esmeraude soon took over the park, incapacitating the staff and planting a Dark Henge on the Negative Point. Her Droid, Dogba, exerted hypnotic control over the animals in the park, forcing them into bizarre performances for the customers. The animals then turned on the visitors. Dogba was then confronted by the Sailor Team and Artemis, and after a fierce battle, the Droid was killed by Sailor Moon, destroying the Dark Henge and freeing the animals from her influence. (079)
