(002) Waka-Taka refers to the celebrity sumo-wrestling brothers Wakanohana and Takanohana, who were credited with reviving the sport in the nineties. Both have since retired, and perhaps understandably, the ADV version does not mention them specifically but instead refers to young men in general.

Widow
After witnessing Chibi Usa's power, Wiseman decided that rather than killing her, they should endeavour to add her power to that of the Evil Black Crystal. (081) He was presented with this opportunity some time later, after Chibi Usa returned to the thirtieth century but left the safety of the Crystal Palace. Wiseman confronted her and manipulated her memories, convincing her that she was unloved and that she should accompany him. He took her to the clan's forward base on the outskirts of Crystal Tokyo, when he was summoned by Esmeraude. She asked for a power great enough to destroy the Crystal palace and win Prince Dimande's favour. Wiseman gave her a tiara of Evil Black Crystal and told her that with its power she would become Dimande's future queen. Esmeraude took the tiara but was overpowered by it. Wiseman mocked her, saying she could never handle the power of the Evil Black Crystal. She was transformed into the Esmeraude Dragon, a giant creature that attacked the Crystal Palace and was eventually destroyed by Sailor Moon. Wiseman expressed no remorse over her demise, merely remarking that he still had Dimande and Saphir to use as pawns. (084) Meanwhile, Wiseman corrupted Chibi Usa and transformed her into Black Lady. He presented her to Dimande and told him to take her to the twentieth century in order to secure victory. Dimande agreed, and they travelled to the twentieth century in order to open up a huge Dark Gate through which the Evil Black Crystal's full power could be fired. There, Sailor Moon attempted to reverse Wiseman's brainwashing of Chibi Usa, but Wiseman himself intervened and reinforced Black Lady's hatred of humanity. (085) Wiseman returned to Nemesis to continue his plotting, but was overheard by Saphir. Saphir acted quickly, deactivating the Evil Black Crystal Reactor, but Wiseman confronted him. When Saphir demanded an explanation of Wiseman's intentions, Wiseman calmly stated that he intended to bring about the rise of the Death Phantom, a godlike being who would purge all life from the galaxy. He blasted Saphir, intending to kill him, but Saphir teleported away in an effort to warn his brother. Wiseman got to Dimande first, and stated that Saphir had turned traitor. Dimande refused to believe this, and when finally confronted by Saphir, he asked for an explanation. Saphir tried to explain what he had heard from Wiseman, but Wiseman intervened and killed Saphir on the spot, claiming it was his right to kill traitors. (086) Afterwards, Wiseman expressed little remorse, but managed to convince Dimande that they were working towards the same goals. However, Dimande later confronted Sailor Moon inside the crystal fragment in Juuban, and became convinced that Wiseman was deceiving him. Wiseman appeared and demanded that Dimande killed Sailor Moon, but Dimande refused, and Wiseman turned on him. They fought, and Wiseman attempted to attack Sailor Moon, forcing Dimande to defend her. Dimande took the full force of Wiseman's attack, but although mortally wounded, managed to summon a counterattack that shattered Wiseman's body. Dimande died, but despite appearances Wiseman had not been defeated. Guided by his crystal ball, his broken body slowly reassembled itself, and the rebuilt Wiseman grabbed Sailor Moon by the throat. He taunted her with illusions, claiming that Tuxedo Kamen had fallen in love with Black Lady. Sailor Moon refused to be taken in, and a frustrated Wiseman launched an attack directly at her. Tuxedo Kamen appeared and blocked the attack, accompanied by the rest of the Sailor Team. Wiseman retreated, saying that the Dark Gate was now completed. (087) While Wiseman revealed that he and the Death Phantom were one and the same, the Sailor Team went to the Dark Gate's entrance and were met by Black Lady, who intended to intercept the Evil Black Crystal's power and use it to destroy the Earth. Sailor Moon attempted to heal her again, taking on the form of Neo Queen Serenity, but Wiseman intervened, sealing Serenity, Black Lady and Tuxedo Kamen in a column of Dark Power. Inside the column, Serenity succeeded in triggering Chibi Usa's repressed memories and returned her to normal. The trio escaped the column, and Wiseman announced that he could destroy the Earth even without Black Lady's help. Sailor Moon transformed into Neo Queen Serenity again and used the Silver Crystal in opposition to Wiseman's use of the Evil Black Crystal. Meanwhile, Chibi Usa discovered that she had not destroyed the future Silver Crystal as she feared, but had taken it into her body. The crystal reappeared and she used it to join forces with Serenity. The two crystals, with the added power of the Sailor Team, overwhelmed Wiseman and destroyed him along with the Evil Black Crystal. (088)

A device created by Eudial, capable of converting an individual into digital information and transferring them into a system of monitors, allowing their powers to be boosted significantly. Despite its potential as a weapon, Eudial never used it because of the risks involved. If power were cut to the monitors while the user was inside them, they would be trapped forever, effectively dead. Following Eudial's death, Mimete opted to use the weapon in order to kill the Sailor Team and prevent Tellu from being promoted ahead of her. But Tellu was also well aware of the machine's weakness, and once Mimete was inside the monitors, she pulled the plug, dispatching her rival permanently. (120)
An organisation of female scientists, some in possession of supernatural powers, who worked for the Death Busters. Initially a research-based group, Professor Tomoe Souichi granted them operational duties following the death of Kaolinite. (103) The group's members were Eudial, (103) Mimete, (110)Tellu, (120) Viluy (122) and Cyprine. (123) Ptilol, Cyprine's twin, was also associated with the organisation. (123) The Witches 5 were based in an underground laboratory, in which they conducted research on behalf of the Death Busters. Professor Tomoe contacted them by telephone from his own laboratory when their services were required. The first of the Witches 5 to be assigned the duty of collecting Pure Heart Crystals was Eudial, who has impressed Tomoe with her suggestions for refining the Daimon production process. (103) Eudial was senior in rank to the other Witches, and was keen to obtain an executive position within the Death Busters, but her repeated failures to find the talismans put this in jeopardy. Tomoe soon turned his attentions to Mimete, who was more than happy to assume the role of her former superior. Discovering that Mimete was winning the professor's favour, Eudial embarked on a last-ditch effort to find the talismans. Using an enhanced computer search, she discovered that Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune were unwitting holders of talismans, and managed to lure them to a trap in the Marine Cathedral. (110) Although she briefly held two of the talismans, they were taken back by Sailor Pluto and used to trigger the formation of the Holy Grail. Using the Grail, Sailor Moon defeated Eudial with ease, forcing her to flee in her Station Wagon. Eudial realised too late that Mimete had sabotaged her vehicle, and fell to her death after the Station Wagon was unable to brake for a tight turn. (111) Mimete was chosen by the professor to take over field operations, and a new series of Daimons were introduced to accompany her. (112) The professor soon became frustrated with Mimete's lack of progress, and quietly approached Tellu in the hopes that she would yield better results. Mimete soon discovered that she was being rejected in favour of her colleague, and attempted to steal Tellu's mission. Her tactics backfired badly when she used Eudial's Witches Electric Warp to transfer herself to a bank of monitors with greatly increased powers, only for Tellu to unplug them, trapping her forever inside. (120) Tellu subsequently took charge of field operations, with the professor approving her plan to gather Pure Heart Crystals using her specially designed plants, Telluns. Tellu succeeded in distributing a large number of Telluns around the city, but was challenged at her base by Sailor Moon, Sailor Chibi Moon and Sailor Pluto. The battle ended abruptly when she was killed by her own creation, the Hyper Tellun. (121) The fourth witch, Viluy, took over, with a plan to extract Pure Heart Crystals from the students attending Mugen Academy to take the practice exams. This was to be achieved using nano robots within the school's computer system, but she was killed by her malfunctioning machines before the crystals could be collected. (122) The one remaining member, Cyprine, was then called to active duty. Cyprine planned to extract Pure Heart Crystals from Mugen Academy students under mass hypnosis, collecting them in a statue of the Messiah of Silence. She was interrupted by the Sailor Team, so transported them to the professor's office, where she and Ptilol engaged them in battle. Although the pair's coordination rendered them difficult to combat effectively, the Sailor Team eventually beat them by forcing them apart, then tricking them into attacking each other. Cyprine and Ptilol were ultimately killed by each other's attacks. (123) Following Eudial's death, the sign outside the organisation's laboratory was amended to read "Witches 4". (114) This changed again, after Mimete's death, to "Witches 3". (121)
The unofficial, revised name adopted by the Witches 5 shortly after the death of Eudial. The sign on the door to their laboratory was amended by means of a large sheet of paper with the new number drawn on it. (114) The name was later changed again, to "Witches 3". (121) The new name did not appear to be official: although it is first seen on the door in Episode 114, Mimete identifies herself as one of the Witches 5 later in the same episode.
The second revised name adopted by the Witches 5, following the death of Mimete. The sign on the laboratory's door was amended by a second sheet of paper stuck over the first alteration. (121)
