Xenian Flower

The smallest but most dangerous species of Flower Youma. Described as the most destructive creature in the galaxy, the tiny, immobile Xenian Flower took control of sentient beings with weak hearts, turning their weaknesses and fears into obsessive hatred. With the help of her host, the Xenian Flower could command legions of Flower Youma and drain the energy from whole civilisations. They were known and feared by the people of the Silver Millennium, having been implicated in the destruction of numerous planets.

One such flower was discovered by Fiore while he was searching the galaxy for flowers to give to Chiba Mamoru. The flower latched onto him and began to guide his actions, turning his feelings for Mamoru into fury at the people of Earth for abandoning his friend. Fiore and the Xenian Flower returned to Earth on an asteroid full of Flower Youma, intending to plant their seeds on Earth and drain the energy of the whole population. When the Sailor Team infiltrated the asteroid, the Xenian Flower lent more of her power to Fiore, transforming him physically. Her control was partially interrupted when Tuxedo Kamen attacked Fiore, but she soon reasserted control as Fiore changed the asteroid's course to collide with the Earth. Even though the act would kill her host, the Xenian Flower intended to survive and spread her seeds on Earth. However, Sailor Moon began to use the Silver Crystal, and Fiore tried to stop her. Through the crystal, he saw the young Tsukino Usagi giving Mamoru a flower - the same flower Mamoru had given Fiore as a parting gift. The realisation released Fiore from the Xenian Flower's control, and she was destroyed by the Silver Crystal. (SMR)
